Displaid: from academic idea to market with AI and machine learning
The startup founded by four young engineers establishes itself in intelligent infrastructure monitoring
Displaid is a deep-tech startup founded in 2023, born from an idea developed at the Politecnico di Milano by CEO Lorenzo Benedetti together with Francesco Morgan Bono, Luca Radicioni and Giancarlo Donizzelli. From its beginnings as a research project, the team has transformed its expertise into a solution based on artificial intelligence and machine learning for monitoring and managing the structural health of bridges and viaducts. Displaid’s technology combines advanced sensors, real-time data collection, and analysis algorithms, enabling the conversion of raw signals into actionable insights for preventive maintenance and intervention planning. This approach is designed to support infrastructure managers and public authorities in overseeing critical assets, contributing to making them safer, more efficient and resilient.
